Unlike other photographers, we also provide high-resolution TIFF files—often many times larger than typical social media friendly images; that are perfect for large prints, displays, and digital frames. In addition, we provide a second set of sharable sized images still offering the option to post on social media without sacrificing quality. You get the best of both worlds: stunning, professional-quality images that are perfect for any use, all at the same price.

The two images demonstrate how our high-resolution files retain incredible detail even when magnified to 300%. Unlike lower-resolution images that often become pixelated or noisy when zoomed in, these photos maintain exceptional clarity and sharpness at such a large scale, thanks to the superior quality of the original files and post production work. Astrophotography? In NYC?

Yes, we do astrophography! Right here in Brooklyn and Staten Island, at some of the best dark site locations in the area! We use cutting-edge astronomy equipment and filters to capture breathtaking, high-quality images of the night sky; even in the light polluted skies of New York City. Our setup includes a William Optics Redcat 71 Refractor Telescope for crisp, wide-field views, paired with a ZWO 2600MM Pro cooled Astronomy Camera to capture incredible detail. To ensure pinpoint accuracy, we use an Go-To ZWO AM5N Equitorial Mount, which tracks the stars with precision, allowing us to capture stunning celestial objects right in your backyard. At V&V Imaging, we don’t believe in charging exorbitant fees for photo sessions that often last less than an hour and result in subpar products. Unlike many photographers who don’t offer or charge extra for color grading, retouching, or custom LUTs, we include these services as part of our standard pricing. What exactly is color grading and LUTs?

Photo color grading is the process of adjusting a RAW (Non-Corrected / Non-Color Graded High Resolution image) photo's colors, brightness, saturation, gamma, offsets, contrast, shadows and other color characteristics to achieve a specific style or mood as well as increase the true to life accuracy of a photo. It involves modifying tones, such as making an image warmer or cooler, and enhancing certain colors for artistic effect. The goal is to create a visually striking or emotional atmosphere, making the photo look more polished or cinematic.

A LUT (Look-Up Table) is a filter used in photo and video editing that changes the colors and tones of an image based on a set of predefined adjustments catered to the specific requests of the client. It maps one color range to another, allowing us to apply specific looks, such as making an image look vintage, high contrast, monochrome, cinematic, dramatic and many other styles of modern photography. 

Examples of each type of image are demonstrated below. While a RAW image while viewed on it’s own may seem perfectly fine - it is only when compared to the more sophisticated techniques available do you see the distinct difference in quality capable with today’s modern camera’s and software. These techniques are not “extras” but come standard with all bookings.
